Critical illness cover 'less expensive that many people think'

Critical illness cover is less expensive than many people realise, according to LV=. Taking out this type of policy can be useful for anyone is left unable to work through a work-related accident. Additionally, employees can seek help from a personal injury lawyer in Southampton. "There are a lot of different types of products available to help fit cover to people's budget, as well as their needs," notes LV= product manager Chris McNab. When a critical illness policy pays out, he explains, it is often for hundreds of thousands of pounds, to cover a mortgage or living expenses for a number of years, or to pay for medical care. "This would be beyond most people's means if they tried to personally save a meaningful safety net instead," Mr McNab adds. LV= recently suggested that critical illness cover is becoming more important as people live longer. However, new figures from the Health and Safety Executive indicate fewer people are needing to claim. It revealed recently that the number of serious workplace accidents has fallen, though there were more fatal injuries. Posted by Paul Stevens
