London Underground accidents 'highest on Jubilee line'

Accidents and injuries sustained on the London Underground were higher at stations along the Jubilee line than any other in the capital, new analysis reveals.
The majority of accidents on the tube network are classed as minor injuries, such as cuts and bruises, as is the case for the Jubilee line, according to data from the Bureau of Investigative Journalism.
Further analysis of the Transport for London (TfL) figures by the organisation reveal that 50 fractures and 30 dislocated joints occurred at Jubilee stations.
However, when non-minor injuries are excluded, the Central, Northern, Piccadilly and Circle lines have the highest number of accidents.
There is concern over the findings, with experts worried about how the already overstretched London Underground network will cope with the increased capacity during the 2012 Olympic Games.
However, TfL has emphasised improvements across the network ahead of the Games. Delays are down 35 per cent since upgrades began in 2003/04, despite the Tube carrying a record 1.1 billion passengers in 2010.
