Clarification sought on AWR

Businesses may need to seek advice from an employment law solicitor service as there is growing confusion over the forthcoming Agency Workers Regulations (AWR), due to take effect from October 1st.
Media reports have suggested that prime minister David Cameron is considering watering down the legislation to lessen the impact on employers.
The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) estimates that it will costs UK firms around £1.6 billion a year to implement.
It wrote to the government last year warning that the new law was "gold plated and needed to be re-written", and is now seeking clarification on how ministers plan to proceed.
BCC director of policy Dr Adam Marshall said: "The government must urgently clarify whether it intends to delay implementation of the directive to spare businesses even greater uncertainty and potential costs."
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation stressed that last-minute changes would be "unlikely".
Chief executive at the organisation Kevin Green said that if AWR were altered now, it would raise "legitimate questions" over why this was not pursued before.
