Divorce 'easier than getting a driving licence'

Obtaining a divorce is now "easier than getting a driving licence", a senior High Court judge has said.
Commenting on the changing nature of family law, mediation and relationships, Sir Paul Coleridge claimed a divorce could be obtained in just six weeks.
Speaking to the BBC's Radio 5 Live, he suggested that there had been a complete revolution in the way people view divorce.
"In about 1950 you weren't allowed in the royal enclosure at Ascot if you were divorced," Sir Paul said. "That now would exclude half the Royal Family."
He also called for people to rethink the value of stable family relationships and the effect of marriage breakdowns on children.
Sir Paul has previously spoken out about what he describes as divorce laws that are "not fit for purpose".
Speaking to the Christian charity Care earlier this year, he called for a complete review of legislation covering marriage and break-ups.
He noted that laws on cohabitation were out-of-date and especially unfair on women and mothers.
