Most people prefer face-to-face wills and tax planning advice

Four out of five people prefer to get their wills and inheritance tax planning advice face-to-face, from the likes of a qualified solicitor.
This is the finding of new research from the Foresters Friendly Society, which also shows just four per of cent people trust online forums for giving out guidance on will writing.
However, the study reveals the majority of people in the UK are not thinking about wills and inheritance tax planning. Sixty-one per cent have not made a will, while those who have are not following it up with further action.
One in ten people with a will has not told anyone where it is, while one in eight (13 per cent) has not reviewed it in over ten years.
It also shows that three-quarters (77 per cent) of parents with children under the age of five have not yet provided for them by making a will.
Neil Armitage, marketing director at the Foresters Friendly Society, said: "It's a great risk to run when the fate of young children and a great deal of money is at stake.
"This is naturally a subject that people try to avoid but it's crucial to face up to the inevitable."
