Overseas expansion may require employment contract advice

Businesses may need to take advantage of an employment contract law service for advice on expanding overseas during the recovery.
Many businesses are being urged to consider investing overseas by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), as an alternative to expansion in the "saturated" UK marketplace.
Access to new markets is one of the primary benefits of investing abroad, although the ICAEW underlines the importance of research into local laws and tax issues before setting up in another country.
Commenting on the research, which revealed that seven in ten UK businesses are considering looking overseas to boost their recovery, ICAEW head of enterprise Clive Lewis explained: "Economic growth will be delivered by SMEs and those that look beyond these shores to market their products and services.
"There are three key things to get right before exporting business though; the plan, the place and the process."
The ICAEW UK Business Confidence Monitor indicates that the pace of decline has slowed, with continuing improvement in annual growth rates for turnover expected to be seen.
