Women still suffer in business, expert says

Mediation services may be affected, as women are still suffering from a lack of career advancement opportunities in business, claims an expert.

Women are not offered the same salaries as men because of clear gender inequality within Britain, according to a professor at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Goldsmiths professor Beverley Skeggs, University of London, said: "There is absolutely phenomenal gender inequality in our society that hasn't been addressed."

Carla Bevan, editor-in-chief of mydaily.co.uk, echoed Ms Skeggs' sentiments and said that there are "few role models" for modern women that are involved in business during the current era.

This news comes after Ms Bevan's website conducted a study of current role models for women.

In the study, it was revealed that over half of the respondents did not believe that there is a sufficient amount of female role models, though Margerat Thatcher was voted as Britain's most influential women, just ahead of Mother Teresa and the Queen.
