Thomson Reuters purchases Serengeti Law

Thomas Reuters has announced that it has completed a management buy-out of the widely used matter management company Serengeti Law for an undisclosed fee.
The newly acquired firm will be partnered with the company's corporate, government and academic business unit within Thomson Reuters Legal, which is under the management of president Mike Suchsland.
Mr Suchsland, said: "Corporate legal departments around the world are rapidly adopting software and services that solve legal workflow needs more simply and more efficiently."
Tom Melling, former vice president of Product Management at Serengeti, has been named president of the business within the new organisation.
Meanwhile, American electrical components maker Thomas and Betts Corporation announced its management buy-out of Birmingham-based cable and electrical management company Cable Management Group for the price of £70 million earlier this week.
Dominic Pileggi, chairman and chief executive officer of Thomas & Betts, said: "CMG's diverse portfolio of cable protection systems complement T&B's existing product offering."
