KLM and Air France face writ

Air France-KLM and its partner cargo carrier Martinair are being sued in a commercial dispute resolution case led by Erricsson and Phillips, as well as hundreds of other European companies, after allegations of illegally fixing cargo-prices.
Papers are set to be filed in Amsterdam after Erriccson, Phillips and a host of other companies sought compensation claims after they accused the two airlines of illegal air cargo price-fixing.
The companies are claiming to have suffered more than €400 million (£345m) worth of damages from Air France-KLM and Martinair and a hearing in Amsterdam will decide the fate of the two accused airlines.
Over the duration of the last three years, the European Commission has been examining claims that airlines were involved in illegal conspiracies between 2000 and 2007 and its findings are expected to be released later this year, which may help to expose airlines engage in unlawful activities.
