Buffalo ownership ruling delayed

A man claiming ownership of a buffalo and its field habitat is waiting to see if his search for dispute resolution will be successful, after Nottingham County Court delayed its decision for ten days.
The Derby Telegraph has reported that Buffalo owner John Kirby, 60, of Highfields Park Drive, Darley Abbey claimed that he was mentally unfit when he passed ownership of his buffalo, Oink and his field to Katherine Moore.
Mrs Moore, of Darley Park Road, Darley Abbey, said the land was transferred to her by Mr Kirby's mother, who gave a heart condition as reasoning for severing her possession of the area.
Recorder Mark Anderson QC said he wanted to continue deliberation on the legal dispute between Mr Kirby and Mrs Moore, reports the newspaper, with his final judgement scheduled for October 1st at Dudley County Court. "This case raises difficult issues and so I want more time to consider it," he noted.
This dispute comes fresh after last month's case regarding a narrow strip of land on Simmil Road, Claygate, Surrey, which left a mother and son burdened with large legal costs, after a case hearing in the Court of Appeal.
