UK debt set to reach 'more than £70k per property'

It might not have escaped the attention of those seeking advice regarding personal finances that the average UK household debt is set to reach £72,341, according to a projection by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR).
Credit Action digested the figures and explained that the OBR has predicted that the overall figure will be £1,823 billion by the end of 2015.
News of the statistics may interest anyone looking to receive a consultation on how debt-related issues can be tackled.
Furthermore, total consumer credit lending to individuals was £217 billion at the end of July 2010, with the annual growth rate in this area reaching 0.2 per cent - a rise of 0.2 per cent.
Meanwhile, a study carried out by Unbiased.co.uk has shown that savings dropped by £7 billion in the second quarter of 2010.
It showed that Britons are repaying 7p of debt for every pound saved in the last few months.
