UK citizens must check their bank statements, expert says

Those looking to receive legal advice for personal insolvency matters might want to note the comments of an expert, who said it is vital to keep abreast of personal finance issues.
David Rodger, managing director of national charity the Debt Advice Foundation, said individuals worried about their current position should confront any dilemmas relating to income and expenditure, tackling the problem head-on.
"It is essential that people check their bank statements - even if the contents don't make pleasant reading," he advised.
Mr Rodger added that the longer an issue is left unresolved, "the worse the problem becomes due to mounting interest and administration charges".
Furthermore, checking a bank statement is also necessary in terms of ascertaining whether any kind of fraud is being perpetrated in the name of the accountholder.
Recently, MyVoucherCodes.co.uk revealed that 51 per cent of citizens polled admit to ignoring letters sent to them by their bank.
