Jobless 'should be given more support'

Those on the lookout for individual services with regards to legal issues might agree with an expert's assessment that people should be given greater support if they cannot find a job.

Matthew Freeman, head of young people and communities at Working Links, described how unemployment can have a detrimental affect on people's mental heath.

He stated: "There is clear evidence that worklessness contributes to ill-health, unhappiness and depression, with people who move into work tending to report substantial improvements in mental health."

As such, it may be a good idea for some individuals to track down a solicitor if their former employer has not given them suitable support when suffering from psychological, health and well-being problems.

According to Ofsted, targeted support from local authorities can help deliver suitable services for young people.

The report asserted that all individuals in this age bracket should be handed sufficient resources in terms of investment.
