Ageing population could lead corporate world to change tack

The UK's ageing population may affect future employment trends - and one expert has highlighted the need to ensure people's health and wellbeing in the workplace is given a high priority.
According to Rachel Krys, campaign director at the Employers Forum on Age, organisations should look to ensure they are catering for the needs of their workers.
She said it will be important to "get rid of this idea that an ageing workforce is going to be a problem".
Ms Krys added: "As the workforce ages, so what we will think of as old will change - just as it does in society."
When arranging commercial agreements, companies that foster a sense of health and wellbeing for their employees could reap the benefits in terms of staff loyalty.
The needs of the country's future workforce makeup are perhaps underlined by statistics from BUPA, which showed that employees will typically be older and have greater caring duties for others.
