Commercial property market 'will see further problems'

Despite the ongoing recovery of the economy in the UK, the commercial property market will see further problems this year, it has been claimed.
According to Andrew Jackson from Standard Life Investments, it will experience another dip between now and the end of 2010, Citywire.co.uk reports.
He suggested that while there will be opportunities in the sector, they will not appear until this period is over.
The expert remarked: "We think there might be a bit of weakness in the second half of this year."
He added that his firm has been advising clients if they are considering increasing their allocation to property to "hold off in the UK for now".
However, investors who have already spent their money should stay put, he claimed.
Recently, Reita released the findings of a study which suggested that most financial advisors currently believe clients can make more money by investing in commercial property than they can in the residential sector.
