LGBT manifesto launched by Labour

Last week, the Labour Party launched its lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) manifesto, pledging to enhance anti-discrimination laws.
Foreign secretary David Miliband delivered the message, unveiling a number of policies in a gay bar in London, PinkNews.co.uk reports.
He remarked: "Since Labour has been in government Britain has led European Union and international efforts to tackle discrimination and promote equal rights for LGBT people."
The party will look to build on its development of equal rights and expand this abroad, he suggested.
Among the policies planned by Labour is one under which there would be Europe-wide recognition of British civil partnerships.
It addition, it has promised that it would ensure that all British embassies around the world are licensed to carry out civil partnership ceremonies.
The political party also says it will force Gibraltar to equalise the gay age of consent if it retains power following the upcoming general election, which is set to take place on May 6th.
