UK commercial property 'should see rental growth'

Commercial property in the UK should see strong rental growth this year, it has been claimed.
Kelvin Davidson, property economist at Capital Economics, suggested that his firm remains "pretty optimistic" about the market's performance for the rest of 2010.
Meanwhile, his colleague Fergus Hicks noted that France is another country that is likely to see gains in the sector in future.
He stated: "In terms of rents, France is probably one of the strongest countries. Certainly it seems that France led the investment recovery in terms of Europe after the UK last year."
The experts made their comments in the wake of the release a report by Knight Frank, which predicted commercial property in the West End of London and the City should see significant growth in coming months.
It also said that, while office rents in Paris fell by around 15 per cent in 2009, they should stabilise this year.
