Commercial property market 'a good investment'

The commercial property market in the UK represents a good investment, one industry practitioner has said.
According to Paul Arenson, managing director of Stenham Property, high-quality property is not in danger of being overvalued, Citywire.co.uk reports.
His comments came after concerns had been expressed by some experts that a bubble may be building in the market on the back of a surge of retail investor money.
Mr Arenson said: "Property cycles in the UK tend to be generally long cycles of steady growth for 12-15 years with a few blips along the way."
Because the country has just "gone off the cliff", there will probably now be growth for the next ten years and there could be "extreme growth" if the country experiences inflation, he added.
The expert went on to suggest that investors can excel in the current environment if they have built up cash reserves and deploy capital in a strategic manner.
However, a report released earlier this year by the Urban Land Institute and PricewaterhouseCoopers warned that the commercial property sector faces a "long, slow haul" to recovery.
