Many consumers 'would consider making video wills'

A considerable number of people in the UK would consider making a video will, new research has found.
Conducted by Remember A Charity, the study revealed that 63 per cent of those surveyed would like the opportunity to have such a display created in order to explain their choices to loved ones.
The videos would also give them the chance to send messages and advice from 'beyond the grave', the respondents said.
Remember A Charity - which was established in 2000 and now has more than 140 members working for it to encourage people to consider leaving a gift to third sector organisations in their wills - also found that 70 per cent thought a video address would avoid possible conflicts.
Chairman of the organisation Stephen George said: "This research highlights a growing desire to leave personal messages for loved ones to support their legally binding wills and to explain the decisions we make."
