Commercial property in London has its advantages'

Commercial property in London still has advantages for those who choose to invest in it, it has been claimed.
According to a Newsweek article, demand for such real estate in the English capital is likely to remain high for a number of reasons, including its location, language and legal system.
Douglas McWilliams of the centre for economics and business research was quoted as remarking: "The question for people is: 'Do you still need to operate out of London?' And for the vast majority the answer is still probably yes."
This is despite the problems being experienced by the financial services industry prompting talk of an exodus from the City.
Also commenting on the issue recently, chief executive of the British Property Federation Liz Peace said all tax on empty commercial properties should be ended.
According to the expert, placing levies on such properties is "frankly absurd" given the current economic situation.
