People often fail to see "urgency" of making wills

Consumers often fail to see the necessity of making wills, it has been claimed.
Commenting on the issue, Tricia Cavell, fundraising manager at St Richard's Hospice, stated that a considerable number of people die without such documents despite having undertaken a lifetime of hard work and possessing savings.
She made her remarks following the launch of a campaign by the hospice to encourage people to ensure that they have wills drawn up.
Ms Cavell stated: "Very often people don't see any urgency about the issue of wills, whereas in fact it is extremely important and can make a huge difference to the lives of those left behind."
As part of Write a Will month, legal experts across Worcestershire are giving up their free time to help the hospice provide advice to people seeking to produce a will.
Established 15 years ago, St Richard's Hospice provides care for patients with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
